My daughter’s home is one of a strict vegetarian’s and healthy foods reign supreme. Few junk foods are allowed in.
So, as an indulgent grandmother I managed to trepidatiously infiltrate this healthy barrier armed with a few suckers sniped from my local bank, and was embraced with a hearty welcome from my grandson. “What kind did you bring me, Mimi?” asked my little darling.
“Cherry, grape, butterscotch, and orange suckers,” I replied.
The next day, my daughter asked him which flavor was his favorite, to which he replied, “Well, I really liked the butternut squash one.”
